EVENT HORIZON
A geometric string art piece inspired by the mysterious boundary of a black hole — the point where space seems to disappear into darkness.
48 metal nails and pale blue neon thread create a precise circular pattern around a deep black centre. Under UV / blacklight, the thread transforms into a subtle greenish glow and continues to glow softly for a short time after exposure.
The 20 × 20 cm wooden base has its own history. This artwork was refurbished from an earlier string art piece, giving the original wooden panel a new life instead of using new material.
The wood was repainted black, carefully sanded and finished with subtle patina. Traces of its previous life were intentionally preserved, particularly in the centre. These imperfections are part of the artwork and make every detail unique.
Old material becomes the foundation for a new geometry — a small reminder that transformation does not always require starting from nothing.
EVENT HORIZON can become a distinctive accent in a bedroom, creative studio, meditation space or eclectic interior. In daylight it appears delicate and minimal; under ultraviolet light, its character changes completely.
